Take the three of them and add drama, secrets, scandals, lust, love and ex’s and it makes a fun, hot and sexy read. You have Eva, Gideon and Cary all three have a past they'd rather forget but can't seem to move on from. Review 2: “Bared to You” was a good read. I'm definitely checking out the next two! Love Love Love!! The book ends with you wanting to know more but doesn't leave you hanging and unsatisfied. The sex scenes are smoking, and there's plenty of them in there, as well as a sufficient dose of drama and lover's spats/misunderstandings. This book is HOT, like, wake your husband up NOW and get busy yourself-HOT! As many have said, it's very similar to 50 Shades, except there's no freaky business, whips, chains, major dominance, etc. This ends up blooming into something special, something deeper than sex and fun. They both have some abuse from their past that has warped them and they find that this abuse both pushes them away from each other, and brings them together at the same time. He's willing to work on some of his habits/rules just to have her, though. Like most women, she wants some sort of connection to him but he's been known to keep his lady friends and bed mates in two separate categories. She's thrilled and offended at the same time. Not just the building he works in, literally HIS building (and he happens to own quite a bit more.did I mention wealthy?) Eva bumps into him in the lobby and he makes her tingly in her lady bits but she thinks nothing more of it until he point blank tells her what he wants: sex, nothing more and. Right now, his priority is to nail Eva, the girl who just moved to NYC and has started working in his building. Cross is a powerful and wealthy business man who knows what he wants and is used to getting what he wants. First thing's first: make sure you dedicate some time to read this book straight through, you're not going to want to put it down! Mr. Thanks to the author, publisher, and goodreads for this opportunity. In CBY after he had seen Eva arrive to meet Brett (in San Diego, prior to the hotel room scene) his thoughts are "I was still tense and aggravated, spoiling for a fight.Review 1: I received this book for free through Goodreads First Reads. It also probably did not help Gideon that he had anger problems, and still has. Most children would turn to their mothers, and as Chris is Gideon's step-father it would probably never have occurred to Gideon to approach Chris about what was happening to him, after all you expect your natural parent to listen to you and believe you - for Gideon this was all made worse because those who were asked to check him out chose to lie and say there was no evidence of abuse - there must have been. Angus must know about the abuse and probably had something to do with helping Gideon escape from it, hopefully we learn more about this in the last book.įor Gideon it cannot have been easy to realise that he turned to the wrong parent to rescue him from the abuse. But as it turns out from the scenes in CBY, Chris did not know about Gideon's abuse so whatever Gideon overheard was not about himself. Gideon always thought Chris Snr knew that Gideon had been abused as Gideon had overheard a conversation between his mother and Chris at dinner when Gideon lived at home. Angus asked Eva if Chris believed Gideon. Question because as many times as I've read the books.
